2020-2021 Accountability Report

Welcome to our 2020-2021 Accountability Report! This report is a recap of an eventful year at the Museum of Us, which we began as the San Diego Museum of Man. You’ll learn about our commitments to equity, inclusion, anti-racism, and decolonizing; and we’ll do our best to answer the question: how are we doing with those efforts?

Our work is far from done. In fact, in many ways, we are just getting started. If you have feedback about our Accountability Report, or the programs and initiatives it presents, please contact us at:

Thank you for taking this journey with “Us.” We are grateful for your support!

Gratitude List

We realize many of you are used to seeing a standard “donor list” as part of a yearly organizational report. These lists typically focus on financial support and stratify the listings based on the size of financial contribution. Not surprisingly, here at the Museum of Us, we’re trying a new approach. Our team’s work simply could not happen without the support of an enormous community – individuals and organizations that support us as thought partners, as financial supporters, and as community representatives, to name just a few roles.

The list compiled below represents our good faith effort to recognize the contributions of so many. Each of them holds a special place in our hearts, and we are deeply grateful for their partnerships – thank you!
