Tower After Hours: Finland!
Aug 4, 2011 – 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Come and discover why the Finns are so enlightened, with their love of nature, steamy saunas, bold design, and comfort food! The San Diego Museum of Man and the Finnish community invite you to celebrate Finland on Thursday, August 4, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Tower After Hours, an ongoing series of cultural events celebrating San Diego’s unique and vibrant ethnic mix, will honor Finland and the Finnish community with music and dance, and delectable food and drinks. Don’t miss this opportunity to explore the rich culture of Finland without leaving San Diego!
You will surely experience why Tower After Hours is the most celebrated and popular cultural event in Balboa Park.
Everyone is invited to enrich their cultural knowledge and share in the festive atmosphere. Since 2004, Tower After Hours has celebrated the diverse cultures of San Diego by transforming SDMoM’s Grand Rotunda into a stage of sound and color as world rhythms, traditional dance costumes, and local foods dazzle the senses. The celebration is vibrant, engaging, and open to attendees of all ages.
Tickets: $10 members, $15 students and military, $20 non-members. Ticket price includes entrance to SDMoM, food tastings, beverages, and cultural entertainment. Tickets, including early bird special rates for a limited time, are available on line at https://tahfinland.eventbrite.com
For more information call the Museum of Man at (619) 239-2001, x 10, or visit museumofus.org. You may also reserve your spot at RSVP@museumofman.org with the number planning to attend and “Finland” in the subject line.
