If the past two years have taught us anything, it’s the importance of reckoning with our past to build a better future. At the core of this reckoning, is a commitment to the values of truth-telling and accountability.
We’ve taken this all to heart, and teamed up with Google Arts & Culture to bring stories from the Museum’s history right to you.
This robust platform is now home to a series of our virtual exhibits examining the colonial legacy of our exterior façade, our history with race and race science, and the evolution of the Museum’s name and purpose.
Looking back is helping us better understand the origins of historical inequities, and begin to find ways to redress them. Worldwide access to these virtual offerings not only increases awareness and understanding, but also fosters important dialogue about how to build a better future.
These virtual exhibits are just one aspect of our anti-racism, decolonizing, and equity & inclusion work. Join us in building a more equitable future for all of us with a donation to the Museum of Us.
Together, we can ensure equitable and inclusive learning is accessible to everyone.
