Group Visits

The Museum offers group pricing options for school, youth, and adult groups from all types of organizations. We look forward to welcoming you to the Museum!

Important information to know when organizing your group visit:

  • All groups must submit an official request form to register for a group visit.
  • Registered groups are offered a discounted group rate.
  • Pre-registration with the Education Department is required. Submitting a request form does not automatically schedule your visit. A confirmation email will be emailed to you when your request is registered and scheduled.
  • Scholarship opportunities are available.
  • Please note that all group visits to the Museum at this time are self-directed only. We are not currently offering guided tours of the Museum.
  • Specific chaperone/leader requirements apply to all group visits.
  • Scheduling is based on the availability of our Education Department and Museum needs.

The first step to schedule your visit and register your group is to complete the Group Visit Request Form. The Group Visit Request Form requires basic information about your visit, and includes optional applications for admissions and bus scholarships. It takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.

Group Visit Request Forms are processed in the order that they are received, and we recommend that you submit your request at least 6-8 weeks in advance.

You will receive a confirmation email once registered with the dates and details of your group visit. Each registered group also receives pre-visit preparation materials to maximize your time and an official Museum welcome upon arrival.

Group Pricing

Groups must register in advance with the Education Department in order to receive the discounted group rate.

Discounted Group Admission: $10.95 per person

This discounted rate is available for all registered groups, including school field trips, student groups, and adult groups.

  • Must be pre-scheduled and registered through the Education Department to receive this discounted admission
  • Discounted rate is the same for all groups, regardless of age
  • Does not include enrollment to Membership on Us

Group Chaperones & Leaders

To promote safety and enjoyment for all who enter the Museum, including your group, all group are required to adhere to the following chaperone/leader guidelines:

For K-12 school and youth groups:

  • K-5th grade: 1 adult required per 4 students
  • 6th-12th grade: 1 adult required per 8 students
  • Chaperones and students must remain together at all times. Students are expected to be actively supervised

For post-secondary and adult groups:

  • 1 group leader to serve as the main point of contact

To register your group, begin by submitting the Group Visit Request Form. We recommend that groups submit a request to visit 6-8 weeks prior to your anticipated visit date.

Scholarships

The Education Department at the Museum of Us currently offers school/student groups admissions and bus scholarships through the generous support of community partnerships and philanthropic grants.

All groups are eligible to apply for scholarships. The Group Visit Request Form includes optional applications for admissions and bus scholarships. If you are applying for the admissions and/or bus scholarship(s), please complete the specified section(s) and questions in the request form. If your group is not seeking a scholarship, simply skip the scholarship sections of the form. 

Scholarship funds are limited and subject to availability. Your scholarship status will be included in your group visit confirmation email.

Admissions Access Scholarship Information

  • These scholarships support admission costs for registered group visits
  • All scholarships must be pre-approved by the Education Department. The Museum’s admissions desk cannot provide scholarships at time of entry.
  • Scholarships are limited and subject to availability
  • Application is included in the Group Visit Request Form

If you are awarded an Admissions Access Scholarship, you will receive a confirmation email and details.

Bus Access Scholarship Information

  • These scholarships support costs for bus transportation for registered group visits
  • Available in the form of reimbursement
  • Groups are responsible for arranging bus transportation to and from the Museum
  • Maximum award for bus scholarships is $700
  • Specific confirmation documents are required to process the scholarship reimbursement payment
  • Scholarships are limited and subject to availability
  • Application is included in the Group Visit Request Form

Bus Access Scholarship Application Process

  1. Complete the Group Visit Request Form and the included Bus Scholarship Application page.
  2. Receive official confirmation for your visit.
  3. Order and pay for your bus.
  4. Submit the following documents to education@museumofus.org
    1. Transportation purchase order
    2. Bus payment receipt
    3. Invoice billing the “Museum of Us” for the total cost on the bus payment receipt
  5. Receive your reimbursement in one of the following options.
    1. Option 1: Automatic Clearning House (ACH) Electronic payment
    2. Option 2: Physical check issued to the address and organization on the invoice

If you are awarded a Bus Access Scholarship, you will receive a confirmation email and details.
