This bilingual exhibition presents moments from the complex history of race and racism, uncovering narratives often left out of public memory through media, art, and archives.
Created in collaboration with artists, researchers, and community voices, the exhibition reflects on how communities challenge dominant stories and offer perspectives that resist oppression.
This experience is a call to action. It offers space to reflect on the forces that shape conversations about racial justice, and to connect personal experience with the collective effort for a more equitable future.
The Museum of Us recognizes that it sits on the unceded ancestral homeland of the Kumeyaay Nation. The Museum extends its respect and gratitude to the Kumeyaay peoples who have lived here for millennia.
