Hostile Terrain 94: Audio Narratives

Hostile Terrain 94

English

Each tag on the Hostile Terrain 94 map holds space for a person who has died on their way through the Sonora Desert of Arizona. This map is a memorial. It helps us visualize the dense repercussions of historic and contemporary policies enacted by the U.S. and colluding governments. But the complexity of migration realities urges us to know more. Another important element in our exhibition is a series of interviews conducted by Colibrí Center for Human Rights.

Through these conversations we are able to learn more about each individual and their family. Their joys, their fears, their path, their story. We invite you to make time to listen and share.
