Sensory-Friendly Quiet Mornings at the Museum

The Museum's sensory-friendly quiet hours are held every Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. to create a welcoming environment for visitors who prefer a calmer museum experience or environments with minimal audio-visual stimulation.

Television screens and flashing lights will be turned off in all exhibits except for the Cannibals: Myth & Reality exhibition, which can be entered through the separate entrance across the California Plaza from the Museum's main entrance.

Complimentary noise blocking headphones are available for check-out at the admissions desk in the Museum lobby and outside of the Cannibals: Myth & Reality exhibition. Noise-blocking headphones are available for check-out any time the Museum is open.

At 11:00 a.m., all exhibit features will be turned on. Admission during sensory-friendly quiet mornings includes all-day access to the Museum.

Please contact publicprograms@museumofus.org with any questions.
