The Museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Join us every Friday morning for a breath of fresh air! We’ll climb the historic California Tower together and pause along the way to engage in moments of setting intentions and guided meditation. At the top, we’ll roll out yoga mats for some extended breathwork while enjoying spectacular 360-degree views of San Diego from the Tower’s eighth-floor viewing deck. Reflect on the week, set intentions for the weekend, or simply take a moment for yourself while taking in the beauty of Balboa Park.
There is no elevator or lift service in the California Tower. Guests should be prepared to climb several flights of stairs, including one circular staircase. People under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The Museum will provide clean yoga mats and blankets for the meditation at the top of the Tower. Due to space and safety regulations, outside personal items such as yoga mats and bags cannot be carried up the Tower. Lockers are available to store personal belongings at no additional cost. We encourage guests to dress in warm layers due to the Tower being open to the elements.
Capacity for the tours is limited and reservations are required. We recommend booking your entire party at once, as this offering sells out quickly. Visitors are welcome to walk-in if there are no-shows, but walk-ins are not guaranteed a spot. Join us for yoga in the rotunda or sensory-friendly quiet mornings, and stay tuned for the summer program schedule coming soon.
